New Years Eve

HELLOZLES PEOPOZZLES.

realised that you can add 'zles' to the end of anything to make it sound hip.

BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN- #4days

OKAY so there are only about 3 hours left of 2011, and I think that it has been a pretty great year. Made new friends, went new places, had fun and WAS SURPRISINGLY CHILL ABOUT EVERYTHING.

LIKE SERIOUSLY.

So, being the hermit I am, I spent new years eve 2011 waking up at 1 and doing nothing. My day went something like this:
- Woke up
- Ate Gyoza
- Facebooked
- Watched FRIENDS
- Blogged
- Did nails
- Tried on Outfits
- Jimmed around on the Internet
- Cleaned
- Blogged

IT'S JUST SO EVENTFUL.

Btdubs, I just thought you should know that y'all is here to stay. Like, for reals. Sighhhs been watching a tad too much Ellen.

AND I GOT CAPPED. LIKE WTF. WHO GETS CAPPED.

well, I realise that a lot of people get capped, but I WANNA DOWNLOADDDDDDDDDDDD.

okay cool story bro.

And shoes, just in case you're interested.

Nine West heels

Brogues from London Rebel

Charles and Keith flats

Boots from London Rebel

Covet sandals

PS. Got a great story.

So Diem was like to me:
AHAHAHAHAH I ACTUALLY THOUGHT A BUNYIP WAS AN ANIMAL, THEN THANH TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A VEGETABLE.
Me: I'm pretty sure a bunyip is a mythical animal
Diem: AHHAHAHAH REALLY?
Me: Yeahhh and they live in the boomerangs.
Me: AHAHHAHAHAHAH LOOOOOOL
Me: I meant billabongs.
Diem: AHAHAHAHAH
Me: *searches Google definition* The bunyip, or kianpraty, is a large mythical creature from Aboriginal mythology, said to lurk in swamps, billabongs, creeks, riverbeds, and waterholes.

AND GUESS WHO WAS SPOT ON.
THAT'S RIGHT.
ME.

what a great story. maybe the vegetable Thanh was thinking of was a turnip?

Also, I've been trying to think of a new years resolution with no luck. THEN i realised that I could steal ideas of friends. In a season 5 episode (can't believe I don't remember the name. like seriously, and i cbf going to find out) their resolutions are:

Ross- Try something new every day.
See, I could do this, except I would give up after about 2 days. See, I know me well.

Monica 1- Be less obsessed with being neat and clean
I'm not obsessed with being neat and clean.

Monica 2- Take more photos.
I SHOULD SO DO THIS ONE.

Rachel- Gossip less.
no comment. she failed anyways.

Chandler- Stop making fun of everyone.
I would like to think that I don't make fun of everyone as much as he does.

Joey- Learn to play guitar
oooooooh i HAVE been teaching myself guitar lately...
Phoebe- Pilot a commercial jet.
YES. except i don't fancy getting arrested, so this could be a problem.

I actually think that I'll do the photo one. OR my resolution could be to blog everyday, coz I think I might keep that. Or to exercise more, except I laugh just thinking about it.

LOL every year I make resolutions and I don't think I've ever kept them...I can't even remember what mine was last year.

SOOOO I SHALL TELL YOU TOMORROW!

Two and a half hours until the new year.

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR BLOG READERS XOOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

What I've Learnt In 2011

Okay so I've already done a quick summary of, well... the trips I've taken this year... so I decided to re-summarise this year in regards to what I've learnt. And these are in no order. Well. They're in the order I thought of them. For the most part.

1. Strong southern accents are harder to understand then they would seem.

ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PERSON WITH THE ACCENT IS YELLING AT YOU. SERIOUSLY.

"twang do the twang to the go yeah"
"what?"

2. 'I've got hayfever' is a good excuse for anything.

"Could you stack these boxes?" "Sorry can't, I've got hay fever"
"WHY AREN'T YOU STUDYING?" "Got hay fever"
"WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE TISSUES?" "I got hay fever"

3. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is the best show you've ever seen in your whole life.

And that Chandler is the greatest character you've ever seen in your whole life. And that when you realise that he was based on Matthew Perry in real life, he instantly shoots up to first on your list of most awesome people ever.

4. That once you lose track of a spider that you just saw in your bed, it's harder than it seems to just forget about it.

Sadly, I learnt this from experience.

5. Tweeting and blogging are equally addictive.

Oh the hours...

6. It is possible for you to ride 70km on a bike.

Provided that most of the way is downhill, you get pulled some of the way, you have a lot of water, you have a chance to rest very few minutes, you don't get ditched by everyone, you are allowed to walk while on the non-downhill bits, you have sugar, the weather's nice, you don't crash, you have a nice non-spider-filled tent to look foreword to sleeping in, you get forced to lead the group which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it meant that everyone had to slow down to my speed, you don't get stuck in a swamp, if you do get stuck in a swamp someone will help you out, your butt doesn't hurt from the previous days' riding, and that isn't all but I'm a bit sick of typing.

7. That when you order something near Christmas time, it will take forever to arrive.

Come on bookfari. I want my books.

8. That Ellen is hilariously funny.

I don't think I need to explain this one.

9. That maths is not the only thing you do at maths camp.

And that teapotting is funner than the teapots would have you believe.

10. Always wear gloves while cooking, or you will get burnt.

Okay, there is a chance that this rule only applies to me, but I highly recommend it.

11. Ibises may look all innocent but, given the opportunity, they will attack you.

EVEN IF there are other people there.
And also that you may have to resort to throwing your chips at them and running away, then realise that you left your bag in the middle of the ibis flock and have to go back in and get it.

Was a great day.

OOOOH WHAT TO WEAR

hai guize.

BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN: #5days

okay, so guess what I did today. that's right. absolutely nothing.

LOL I'm such a hermit.

I did however start thinking about what to wear to my birthday dinner. See, normally I wouldn't put so much thought into this, except:

a) yesterday Diem did a post about what to wear to my birthday
b) I'm super bored
c) I find it enjoyable to blog about

so yes. basically I have it narrowed down to 2 dresses because:

a) I enjoy wearing dresses to dinners
b) I haven't worn these dresses before. well no. that's a lie. I wore one of them while in America and you can probably find a picture of me wearing it in my recap post. So I rephrase: I have never worn these dresses in Australia before.
c) I like these ones

LOOOL well appaz I now justify everything I do with lists.

So anyway these are the dresses:

American Eagle
Princess Polly
AND apparently Diem got me a dress for my birthday that I could wear, but I haven't actually seen it yet...

PS. Believe by Cher has been stuck in my head for the past 91384289423148523087 years. LOLJKS. only like 10 minutes.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA HAD YOU ALL FOOLED.

okay i just had to share that with y'all.

y'all. i could so start saying that.

y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all y'all OoOoOoO So CoLoUrFuL

okay then cool story bro.

Was going to include hair and makeup stuff, but as it turns out i cbf.

Like, I really like finding hair tutorials and stuff, and I really need new hair styles because like yeah. I like them. BUT there are none that I can actually do because either:

a) my hair is too short
b) my hair is too layered
c) my hair is too curly

and so you see my problem.

and now, to quote the maths department,

that's all folks.

DO YOU BELIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVE IN LIFE AFTER LOVEEEEE
I CAN FEEEEEL SOMETHING INSIDE ME SAY
I REEEALLY DON'T THINK YOU'RE STRONG ENOUGH, NOOOOOO

oh cher...

Made Some Gyoza

HELLO THERE BLOG READERS :D

Countdown to my birthday: #6days

WOOOO SO EXCITING!

Okay so yesterday the watch which I ordered ages ago arrived. I apologise for the blurriness of this photo.

DKNY

Yeah you can't really see it well. But you get the gist.

gist.

I never realised how funny that word looks when typed in whatever font I'm using till right now.

So today I woke up at 1, and achieved very little during the day. I pretty much just facebooked and blogged and watched reruns of Ellen and friends. OOOH AND ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT which i started watching about half an hour ago. and it's so funnnny <3

I also made some gyoza. GYOZA IS ACTUALLY SO YUMMY. I've been making a lot of it recently, ever since my mum's friend came over a couple of weeks ago and taught us how to make it. LOL we make like hundreds and my menu for a few days after we make it is like so:

Breakfast: Non existent since I wake up at 1
Lunch: Gyoza
Snack: Gyoza
Dinner: Gyoza

So it goes pretty quick.

The meat in the pot before we wrapped it
Before we fried it
After frying
AND trying to decide a theme for my birthday party. Normally I would say that the ideas are flowing but no, they're really, really not.

Also got a new quote for my quotes book.

Rachel- Look! I melted the butter!
Monica- Congratulations! You now have the cooking skills of a hot day!

LOL that was actually from friends. Wasn't even today's episode.

it's weird coz I don't actually have a quotes book. I could make one, but the thing is i cbf.

Now please enjoy this photo.

Friends poster Diem and Sonja made me for Christmas :)
And while I'm on the subject of what they made me for Christmas, enjoy this picture.

Exercise book covers :)
And also just realised that 'darkle' is a word and it is the opposite of 'sparkle'.

who knew?

So jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
that's all XD

;)

BEACH~

HII

okay so today I went to Currumbin beach with Meera and Lauren. IT WAS SO FUNN <3

So in the morning, we all went to Lauren's house, then Lauren's mum drove us to the beach in their van.
with meera in the van
LOOOL *adds following to quote book*

"THAT CHAIR'S ALL BY ITSELF. IT'S LIKE AN ISLAND"

"WOOW YOU'RE SHOES LOOK SO ASIAN"
OOOH and also
"Noo, Japan's an island on its own. It's not even near Asia"

When we got to the beach we unpacked our stuff then went swimming :) Last time we were there we swam to this island about 200ish metres from the beach, and we decided to do it again BUT it was freezing so we got half way there then turned back. Which in retrospect probably wasn't the smartest thing to do seeing as we swam the same distance anyway. BUT IN OUR DEFENCE THERE WAS SALT IN OUR EYES. AND SALT IN EYES HURTS.

So yes. Then we just went to the place where we'd dumped our stuff and bummed around for a bit.

Lauren being a cool kid

we so hip
THENN we decided to dig a salmon. And by dig a salmon I mean dig a salmon-shaped hole, coz like in primary we named our group the salmons, etc, etc.

And I brought my ipod speaker, so while we were digging we were playing this music really loud and singing really out of tune-ly and passers-by were like -wtf are they doing-
but eh. it was fun. XD

OH WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT SALMON

AND ALSO WE FINALLY MASTERED THAT JUMP THING. FINALLY. AFTER LIKE 20 TRIES.

bet you're all jelly
Yeahh after that we went swimming again and twas all good till we saw this fin in the water and everyone was like "SHAAAAARK".

Well. I was like "SHAAAAARK".

But it turned out to be a dolphin. Which was actually super cool. But yes. I got out after that.

But Meera and Lauen kept swimming so I just went round the beach and took photos of everything for a while and then ate again.

Yeaah then we left.

LOOOOOOOOL IN THE VAN ON THE WAY HOME WE WERE EATING THESE CHOCOLATES, AND LAUREN STARTED EATING THIS ONE, AND THEN REALISED THAT SHE FORGOT TO READ THE MESSAGE THAT WAS ON IT. AND LOOK.

AHAHAHAHAA. LIKE I'M SURE IT SAID SOMETHING ELSE, BUT LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. 'YOU'RE FAT' ON A CHOCOLATE BAR.

So we went back to Lauren's place, which just happens to be next door to our primary school, so we went to the basketball courts and playground and just chatted and camwhored and all that.

coz I'm just super cool
;)

THE TURTLE
And yeaaaah :)

BYEEE

Tuesday, December 27, 2011

a productive day

YO.

AHAHAHAHAHHAHAH I'VE ACTUALLY BEEN LOLLING AT THIS PICTURE FOR SO LONG.

AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHH LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL THAT BABY'S FACE AHAHAHAHAHAAHA DBFIAHERGNFANGTLARKTHNARTK;MHN.

okay then cool story bro.

So I did nothing today. Although I did just come home from watching Mission Impossible, which was good.

And made a nice looking chocolate sandwich.

And blogged. I'm actually addicted to blogging now.

OOOH THE OTHER DAY I FOUND A SPIDER IN MY BED, AND NOW I'M TOO SCARED TO SLEEP IN THERE.
Because it jumped on me, then i freaked out and flicked it somewhere, which I realise now was a mistake because I don't know where it is.

This news was not comforting.

And just in case you missed Ellen:

Just needed another photo, and didn't think that the one I took of my sandwich was interesting enough.

okay so basically my day was top notch.

XD

2011

OKAY. So I only started my blog yesterday, and since it's super addictive I'm going to post as much as possible. Which will probably mean that I'll have a lot of nothing posts, but eh. You don't have to read them if you don't want to >:D

Okay so at the start of this year sometime I went to Singapore and Indonesia, but I can't really talk about that seeing as I don't remember anything about it.

SEE THIS IS WHY I NEED A BLOG. I DON'T REMEMBER ANYTHING.

Here are a few pictures which were taken on that trip, and the only reason I know they were was because the facebook album which I stole them out of was titled 'ChristmasHolidays~2010/11'

OOOH and it was a cruise to Malaysia as well. (just found a picture of me on a boat)

okay then.

me in this super cool hotel in Singapore standing in front of the never ending pool. THE HOTEL WAS SHAPED LIKE A BOAT. LIKE SRSLY.

Standing on water. Coz I can do that now.

Most of my cousins and I with Mak-Sian on the cruise ship

In Singapore on the Climbax at Magazip Park. I'm the one in the pink shirt btdubs.

My cousin Dhamma. husifbanjfdalenrgj so cute.

Chillin at Singapore Zoo
Okay turns out I do remember something about that trip- it was super fun. and that is the extent of my memory.

Then all this stuff happened, then in JUNE (on the 24th- I remember coz it's the day after my mum's bday) I went to space camp with Sonja and all these other school people. It was so cool. We went to LA, Huntsville Alabama, Washington DC, Orlando and San Fransisco and got to meet all these American people and learn about spacey stuff and <3

This was taken while we were walking to Planet Hollywood for dinner in Orlando

At Space Camp in Huntsville. I was the mission scientist and we were controlling the mission. Can't think of better words for what we wee doing. Mainly just reading from a script.

VON TIESENHOUSEN

At this pizza place with the wands we bought from Harry Potter World in the Islands of Adventure. I was sick.

On top of this big mountain at Yosemite.
Okay, then a couple of weeks after we got back from space camp, I had school camp. We had to choose either the biking trail or this other one. Diem and I chose the biking one, but Sonja did the other one and jaaa. In our trail, we had to bike for 70 something kilometers an we also did some mountain climbing (which I actually really enjoyed, although getting down was a bit iffy). I actually really enjoyed camp even though biking for that long was like paiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

belaying the high ropes. as you can tell, it was super comfortable.
setting up the tent. LAST YEAR WE CHOSE AN OPEN ONE AND SPIDERS GOT ALL IN IT. so we knew better this year :)
this was BEFORE climbing the mountain. don't ask how we actually managed to get up there.
you can't see our feet in the last photo
on top of the mountain :)
our (to quote Diem) amaaaaaaaazeballs cheesecake
bumming around
and yeahh :) it was actually really fun. AND two days after camp, we had maths camp. but we still had to go home for the Saturday, which I didn't really get. LOL maths camp, sounds so nerdy. It was only one night, and we just did maths and had a quiz night and bummed around. OOOH and teapotted.

here are some photos of our fabutastic teapotting.

if you look closely you can see chloe

my 'trying not to laugh' face.

bet you've never seen a pro-er hider in your life

OOOOH FIND ALL 5

okay we aren't teapotting in this one, but it looks super cool.

AND (yes there's more) from the 14th to the 18th of October, I went to wellington for JYPT with Diem, Rachel and Allissa. IT WAS ACTUALLY SO FUN. We debated physics problems that we worked on wit students from other schools. It was at Wellington High School (LOL had no idea how to incorporate that last statement into my previous ones).
We didn't get to do much touring, but we did do an 'amazing race' which was fun..

and yes, in conclusion we came 8th. ALTHOUGH WE STILL GOT A BRONZE MEDAL. ahhh we suck.

bumming around at Brisbane airport

the plane ride was shocking.

doing the amazing race. one of the things was to find that fountain behind us. twas a cool fountain.

before leaving for the planetarium
On the last night, we had dinner at the fanciest Mediterranean restaurant you've ever seen in your life. Like, they had this really pro piano player an saxophone player. And it was so fancy, and we were just like sitting in there in our school uniforms EVEN THOUGH our hotel was right next door :/
PS the food was really good too.

the waiting room of the fancy restaurant

we weren't so great with the packing.
AND THAT'S ALLLLLLLLL. well not really, but i really cbf posting any more so THAT'S ALLLLLLLL.

HAVE A NICE HOLIDAY. EVEN THOUGH I'LL PROBABLY POST AGAIN LATER TODAY COZ I HAVE NO LIFE.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
